The creator of Afrobeat pays tribute to the creator of hard bop. Tony Allen is a tremendous drummer and a brilliant composer. Described by Brian Eno as the best drummer of all time, he was the drummer in Fela Kuti’s band, and he does not shy away from any experience. The sorcerer of Lagos dreams up a face-to-face encounter with one of his first idols, Art Blakey, founder of the mythical Jazz Messengers. Not to be missed on any account!
